Registration for EHS 70s Decade Reunion Begins in February!
Plans for this July’s All 70s Evansville High School Class Reunion are moving forward successfully. With a theme of 07/07/07, the big reunion will take place on the weekend after the 4th of July this summer in Evansville, with a large “All 70s” class gathering, dinner and dance set for Saturday, July 7th, 2007 at Level 8 (formerly the Red Barn). All 1970s graduates of Evansville High School are invited to come back to their hometown and get reacquainted with fellow EHS alums from a decade of classes. The reunion celebration kicks off on the 4th of July, when 70s grads will be in the Park from 1 to 5pm passing out a schedule of weekend events and registering last-minute attendees. On Thursday night, July 5th, several downtown establishments will host a “70s Pub Crawl,” when EHS 70s grads can greet friends and enjoy 70s music and drink specials. A dance in the Park featuring the 70s cover band Boogie Men will be the Friday, July 6th reunion event, when grads are encouraged to “Dare to Wear” fun and creative 70s fashions. Finally, the big 70s reunion begins at 5pm at Level 8 on Saturday, 07/07/07, and will feature a DJ from Juke Box Bandstand spinning classic 70s favorites.
Mayor Sandy Decker and the Evansville Chamber of Commerce will help promote Evansville and its businesses during the 07/07/07 reunion weekend, with discounts for EHS 70s grads offered at many local restaurants and stores. Graduates will receive a list of these special offers, as well as a complete weekend schedule and their admission buttons, when they check in for the weekend. Along with the Park booth on July 4th, 70s grads can also check in at the high school on Thursday, July 5th or on Friday, July 6th from 4 to 6pm. Alumni that have not visited Evansville for some time will also be invited to tour the new high school during check-in time.
EHS 70s graduates will be receiving complete registration materials from their individual class representatives via email or post mail in early February.
Committee members are still searching diligently for contact information for many of their fellow 70s graduates. If you have emails or addresses that could help them, please contact the 70s representatives by class as soon as possible.

07/07/07: The 70s Return To Evansville THIS Summer!
Evansville will flashback to the decade of disco balls, bell bottoms and shag haircuts, as the city welcomes back all of its 1970s graduates next summer. 07-07-07 is the date and the theme for the event, which is being billed as an “All 70s EHS Class Reunion .” All 1970s graduates of Evansville High School are invited to come back to their hometown and get reacquainted with fellow EHS alums from a decade of classes - people they may not have visited with since graduation! The big reunion will take place on the weekend after the 4th of July next summer in Evansville, with a large “all class” gathering, dinner and dance set for Saturday, July 7th, 2007 at Level 8 (formerly the Red Barn). Individual graduating classes will be planning their own pre-parties for Friday, July 6th, at a place of each class’ choosing. The weekend will also include golf outings, group photos, class challenges and all-city promotions. Mayor Sandy Decker and the Evansville Chamber of Commerce will get into the act, to help promote Evansville and its businesses along with the reunion. Mayor Decker said of the 07-07-07 reunion recently, “This will be a wonderful event to help promote the City of Evansville , especially during the 2007 downtown construction project.”
Mayor Decker is representing the Class of ’70 on the planning committee.
Other class representatives are Colleen Gransee/Greg Kuelz (’79), Shelly Andrew (’78), Jody Tilley/Deb Olsen/Roxie Seidel (’77), Lori Bund (’76), Kaye Crocker/Barb Krumwiede (’75) and Shelby Richardson (’74). The committee is searching for representatives from the Classes of ’71, ’72 and ’73.
Those interested in getting involved in planning or who have suggestions should contact one of the class representatives above.
